Our first year.
Eating at the Sundial tower in downtown Atlanta. What a crazy & wonderful experience!
Our first Christmas! We opened our wedding gifts together on Christmas day. :)
January: Settling into life together, Isaac went back to work, I survived the cold winter days. :)
February: I started working at a little coffee shop less than a mile from our house. It was a good first job - I enjoyed getting to know some people in the east Peoria community, learning about coffee and having something to fill my days. I worked here until July.
March: My twenty-first birthday. :)
April: A getaway with my mother-in-law & sisters-in-law to St. Louis with sweet shopping, eating, and bonding. :)
May: A busy time of choir concerts and celebrating the end of the school year and summer's beginning!
June: Many sweet summer evening dinners in our sunroom.
June: celebrating our 6 month anniversary over Irish coffee and Irish cheesecake. :)
July: A visit to Georgia!
August: a weekend away in Chicago to wrap up our summer before Isaac headed back to a new school year.
We loved downtown Naperville!
October: A weekend in Seattle for a friend's wedding. It was incredibly beautiful! Some of the most lovely sights I've ever seen.
The little town of our airb&b was so quaint and right on the edge of Whidbey Island. We wandered through a small bookshop, a beautiful art gallery (with the most friendly owners), second-hand clothing stores, antique shops, and up and down a wharf that had a little coffee shack at the end. It was blissful.
In November, making pumpkin soup, a getaway with my mom & sisters and last moments in Isaac's childhood home before Dad & Mom Funk moved to their new home.
