London, England

"This City now doth, like a garment, wear
 The beauty of the morning; silent, bare,
Ships, towers, domes, theatres, and temples lie
Open unto the fields, and to the sky;
All bright and glittering in the smokeless air."
(Upon Westminster Bridge: Wordsworth, 1802)

London is such a classy place.

We were there for eight hours - it was cold and rainy and perfect. :) We were standing on a street corner about a block from Buckingham palace, and this lovely carriage rode past.

And the best fish and chips!! We were trying to decide where to go for lunch. Ike had the idea of following a group of business men to see where they went - and they led us into a little road with multiple food vendors and little cafes. We found one boasting the best fish and chips - they did not disappoint.

Our eight hours in London flew by quickly and we soon found ourselves back at the airport, preparing to fly back across the ocean to our home. Our month away had ended - truly, it had been an unforgettable, wonderful month.
