Badan-Badan
The Bath Town. As we prepared for our trip, we learned that a town called Baden-Baden, not far from the Black Forrest, is in the general area that some of our ancestors were from! Of course, this bath town has become a place of heavy tourism - and our families were simple country people. So, while little resemblance remains, we still wanted to see this famous bath town.
Our first stop in Badan-Badan was at Café Konig for some Black Forrest Cake!

We were hoping for a glimpse of these famous bath houses.
However, they were quite private & we did not pay for entrance - much to Isaac's disappointment. He was the member of the group most up for giving public bathing in the nude a try. :)
It was an interesting town with a charm in its own way - the fountains and little shops, and fancy buildings.
